The Hope Seekers, Stolen Childhood Documentary–The film is a proposed hour-long documentary designed to be a key awareness-raising component for a larger initiative involving an international coalition of nonprofit organizations (i.e. Alliance of Mayors Initiative for Community Action on AIDS at a Local Level, WFYI the Indianapolis PBS affiliate), and notable Academic Institutions (i.e. Butler University, Andrews University, Ball State University, Purdue University), along with various experts on health care and social services.
This film documentary will reveal the profound personal struggle facing hundreds of thousands of children in Sub-Saharan Africa, while demonstrating the resilience and optimism that remains despite staggering odds. It will also offer hope of mitigating the long-term consequences of this devastating social phenomenon. The documentary will be created in partnership with WFYI, the Indianapolis PBS affiliate, and a team of exceptional producer-filmakers with significant international film experience. Filming of the documentary will commence in 2012.
